It’s not been much this summer: Graham Greene’s Travels With My Aunt I’ve just finished, then there are 1950s shocker Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, the old bible of teenage rebellion The Outsiders, the drama of high society and murder Savage Grace, the exhibition catalogue Unpopular Culture from the Hayward Gallery, a biography of Carson McCullers and Edward Lewis Wallant’s Shoa survivor story set in 1960s Brooklyn The Pawnbroker. I enjoyed Andy Warhol’s Popism a lot.
